Vaporstream

Vaporstream

Developed at a time when internet privacy is scarce, Vaporstream allows users to send truly private messages through their secure messaging app. Although they provide the most secure technology compared to the competition, their website and positioning was confusing.

The old website experience lacked a polished and professional design. It was very copy heavy and unable to tell a clear story of the product and its unique benefits. The content was also organized poorly with no clear path for the user.

The process started by identifying personas in both the business and consumer set and doing extensive research to learn about their pain points for privacy. Small online surveys of the primary targets and online research was conducted, along with data provided from the client to inform the positioning.

Key findings

  • Privacy is a large concern for nearly everyone.

  • That it shouldn’t be difficult to have a private conversation, no matter where you are or when you need to have it.

  • Not everyone trusts ephemeral messaging services.

Vaporstream wanted to be viewed as trusted, simple and understanding in their new website design with a focus on usability and organization of content.

Once the site was launched, analytics were monitored on a monthly basis and enhancements to the site experience were made based on any discoveries.
